Employee Assistance Program

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a confidential service for employees seeking help with behavioral or medical problems that may impact their job performance. These can include marital stress, family issues,  financial strain, alcohol or drug abuse, legal uncertainty, or health difficulties. An EAP counselor provides employees with assessment and referral for other professional help.

The EAP service is provided free to employees of participating school districts. However the cost of services provided by other agencies (to which an employee has been referred by EAP) is borne by the employee. The EAP coordinator can help employees find services offered free or at reduced rates.

Information regarding the EAP can be obtained by calling Marcia Whitney at BOCES (581-3750) Contact information for EAP counselors can also  be obtained at that number.
