Perception Data: How to
Get It & Use It |

Planning to administer a
survey takes many factors into consideration including the
construct of interest, survey formats and sampling. This
workshop introduces participants to these concepts and other
key ideas as a foundation for a survey design project. Basic
data analysis will be conducted via Excel, and electronic
surveys will be discussed. After this workshop, participants
will be able to design different survey items around a
common construct, know strategies for reducing bias, will
have the skills to organize the data, and will be able to
organize the data analysis needs of their project. |

Statistics & Stuff for
Teachers (Using
Blackboard) |

This five session course
offered through Blackboard provides instructional staff with
a statistics refresher, applying concepts to the classroom.
Participants also will review assessment and psychometric
issues as they relate to the classroom. At the end of this
course, teachers will understand how to use statistics to
enhance classroom instruction and management and how to
embark on a research project. The course will take
approximately 15 hours to complete.

SPSS Training: Basic
Statistical Analysis Using SPSS |

workshop is designed for those with limited experience with
SPSS who would like to learn how to use the program for
basic statistical analyses. Topics will include recoding
variables, opening various types of data files, basic data
summaries, and graphing. Familiarity with basic statistics
is helpful, but not required. Limited to 12 participants per

Statistical Analysis Using SPSS |

workshop is designed to assist participants in using SPSS to
organize and analyze data. Topics will include cluster
analysis, factor analysis, MANOVA, and repeated measures
MANOVA. Familiarity with basic statistics is required;
familiarity with these topics in advance is recommended.
Limited to 12 participants per session. |

in aligning existing assessments and locating appropriate
new assessments. Participants will need to bring an existing
