    • Plan appropriately for instruction; adapting methods and materials to meet students’ individual needs and English language proficiency.
    • Orient students in regard to subject content, goals and objectives and teach them in a consistent manner.

    • Control and supervise classes in a manner that will be conducive to learning.

    • Evaluate new potential ELLs according to CR Part 154 procedures.

    • Schedule students according to NYS ENL Units of Study, and present learning content in both Stand-Alone and Integrated ENL settings.

    • Evaluate and report on student progress at designated intervals according to established procedures.

    • Maintain student records and parent notifications in the prescribed manner.

    • Be familiar with and operate under school policies, procedures and regulations, specifically CR Part 154, and assist component districts in remaining compliant with regulations pertaining to ELLs.

    • Establish and maintain communication with parents / guardians as necessary.

    • Cooperate with professional and non-professional staff of component districts in collaborative activities.

    • And other such duties as may be assigned.


Work Hours:
Monday - Friday  8:00am-2:45pm
  • NYS Teacher of Other Languages/Spanish certification

  • Experience with High School Education

  • Expert knowledge of students with disabilities, behavior management & differentiating instruction
