DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:
This is a position responsible for the collection of student-related data and using standard programs, for the reproduction and processing of analysis and reports of the data. There is latitude for a range of independent judgment within established guidelines and procedures. In the collection of data, this position will have considerable contact with registration staff, administrators, and teaching staff. The work is performed under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director for Improvement & Assessment. The incumbent does related work as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Either:
Successful completion of sixty (60) credit hours of college-level coursework within a liberal arts course of study or related field and two (2) years of experience operating a personal computer and equipment involved in processing data and data analysis; OR
Three (3) years of experience in managing data reporting and analyzing data; OR
An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (1) and (2).
Note:Vacancies are filled by a certified list provided by Washington County Civil Service. Should no certified list be available, candidates appointed to this position will be serving in a provisional appointment in accordance with New York State Civil Service Law. The candidate must successfully complete a competitive examination and be eligible for appointment in accordance with Civil Service Law and the Civil Service Rules for Washington County to obtain a permanent appointment.
