This office works as a liaison for the NYS Office of Teaching Initiatives, by providing guidance for applicants and evaluating Classroom Teacher, Pupil Personnel Services, Teaching Assistants and Coaching applications. This site contains many useful resources to guide applicants through the certification process. OTI utilizes the TEACH system to manage everything pertaining to certification, including applying, recording documents, and correspondence regarding certification status. Districts also access the system to check on certification status for current and prospective employees, and to verify various requirements for certificate applicants.
