Shared Technology Support Staff (LAN Technician)

The Shared Technology Support Staff Service can provide assistance to districts in the planning, development, implementation, and management of both Local Area Networks (LANs) and District-wide Area Networks (DANs).

By developing and implementing networks, districts can provide access to educational resources and materials efficiently and cost-effectively. This will increase and extend the variety of teaching methods and techniques available to staff and provide students with equal access to opportunities.

Serving on-site and remote support, Shared Technology Support Staff
cover all of a district's technology needs or provide only the services required.

Our Chief Technical Officers provide guidance and/or leadership with technology planning and coordination, classroom integration, equipment ordering and purchasing, and asset management.

Our Server LAN Techs implement, monitor, and optimize the school's Local Area Network and server infrastructure.

Our Desktop Support Professionals provide in-house support to your staff for all computer related hardware and software needs.

Our Security and Surveillance Team provide a complete surveillance solution including door swipe access and staff ID badges.

Our VOIP & Networking Team plans and implements Internet connectivity, videoconferencing, hosted VOIP, complete wireless infrastructure, and network management.

Our Help Desk Services provides phone and remote support.

We also coordinate other BOCES services such as computer repair and cleaning (Tech Services),equipment delivery (Courier Service), and curriculum integration (Model Schools)

All technology support requests should go to 581-3598 or helpdesk@wswheboces.org

Shared Technology Support Staff currently serve in 29 districts plus the BOCES, providing both regularly scheduled and "just-in-time" services.
