Technology Services provides on-site installation and repair of network cabling, Interactive Display Panels, SmartBoards and Projector Systems, CCTV, sound systems, centralized clock and bell systems, and many other technology based systems.
We provide general repair and maintenance for all types of school audiovisual and computer equipment, performed by factory trained, certified technicians. Equipment of all types is repaired including Chromebooks, iPads, computers, printers, multimedia projectors. A large stock of repair parts is maintained for items frequently used by schools.
The Tech Services Department loans electronic equipment such as digital cameras, portable public address systems, video projectors, and other items.
A delivery service picks up and returns equipment, media resources, mail, Print Shop products, School Library System resources and other items. BOCES staff provides coordination of daily mailbags and sorting of inter-district mail. Delivery is included for districts participating in the MultiMedia and/or Technology Services. It may also be requested separately.
This system allows school districts to communicate from the home school to their buses and district maintenance personnel over an enlarged coverage area. Participating districts share the cost and maintenance of the Emergency Repeater system. The cost of this service is supported by NYS Transportation Aid.
