The Whitehall Central School District Board of Education has agreed to accept a resignation from Ms. Liz Legault, Superintendent of Schools in order for her to begin her new position with the East Bridgewater Public School District in East Bridgewater, MA. Ms. Legault’s last day in the district will be April 30.
The Whitehall Board is scheduled to appoint William Scott as Interim Superintendent. Said Virginia Rivette, Board President, “We are pleased to have Bill Scott lead our District during this time of transition. Mr. Scott brings with him outstanding experience as a successful superintendent with a strong focus on academic and fiscal matters.”
Said Bill Scott, “I am most pleased to work along with the Board of Education to move the district forward during this time of transition. I want to assure the community that my focus will be on the needs of the students and community we serve. In addressing the essential needs of the school district, we will also be establishing a strong foundation for the new Superintendent of the Whitehall Central School District.”
In the summer or early fall, the Board will meet with James Dexter, District Superintendent, WSWHE BOCES, to discuss the superintendent search process. It is expected that the new superintendent will start on July 1, 2016.
