WSWHE BOCES 243 Students into National Technical Honor Society
Monday, May 18, 2020
Every spring WSWHE BOCES inducts high achieving students into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS). To be inducted, students must maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 92 percent in their Career and Technical Education (CTE) program. In addition, students must maintain a GPA of 85 at their home school district, have fewer than 9 absences per year, be nominated by their instructor, and obtain a recommendation by their CTE counselor. Adult students are eligible as well.
With COVID-19 concerns, 2020 celebrations looked a bit different to the usual induction ceremonies. However, all 243 inductees were celebrated when their advisors presented them with their certificates, stoles and special lawn signs to mark the occasion at the Southern Adirondack Education Center on May 14 and at the F. Donald Education Center on May 15. Strict social distancing protocols were followed and didn't hamper the joy! Congratulations to all!
If students were unable to attend on May 14 & 15, they can contact their NTHS advisor for make up days. For a full list of the SAEC National Technical Honor Society inductees please see the files below. Check out our recognition video here. More photos on the WSWHE BOCES Facebook page.
