Culinary Key Club Helped Prepare Breakfast with Santa
Wednesday, December 16, 2015
On December 12, the WSWHE BOCES Culinary Key Club joined the Saratoga Wilton Kiwanis Club to cook Breakfast with Santa at the Saratoga Senior Center in Saratoga Springs.
At 7:30 a.m., more than 2,000 eggs were cracked and 300 portions of hash browns, sausage, French toast, waffles, and pancakes were prepared to serve the hungry excited crowds. Over 275 children and their families along with more than 30 volunteers enjoyed a delicious buffet breakfast.
Lots of activities were also offered to participants including doing crafts, coloring, decorating cookies, singing Christmas carols, posing with Disney characters from Frozen, and taking photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus and their elves.
Thanks also to Work-Based Learning Coordinator Bruce Hoffmann who helped Chef Clancy and her students.
