In a completion ceremony at the Southern Adirondack Education Center, 15 high school students from the BEST program were encouraged to continue their success by setting lofty goals and working hard.
“These are universal truths,” said Superintendent of School James Dexter who addressed the group, adding the students should proceed with integrity, stay positive, and embrace the family and friends who helped them along the way.
The BEST students have had enjoyed support from not only their families, but a staff who is committed to helping each individual student fulfill his potential. Led by Principal Turina Parker, the staff has helped each student reach the requirement for various diplomas: IEP, GED, and Regents. These students will return to their home schools to participate in graduation.

In addition to their completion certificates, students received awards for attendance, academic excellence, and professionalism in Career and Technical Education classes.
The ceremony ended with a multimedia presentation featuring each student and refreshments for students, staff, family, and friends.
