Devon Paul Aiken of Hudson Falls and Sarah Crannell of Glens Falls won top honors in the first annual Constitution Day poster contest sponsored by SUNY Adirondack.
As September 17 marked the celebration of Constitution Day, a celebration of the day our constitution was signed in 1787 and the ratification process began, SUNY Adirondack charged students to submit handcrafted posters in honor and reflection of our founding, governing document. The theme of the first annual competition was American symbols and the U.S. Constitution.
Aiken and Crannell, students of the WSWHE BOCES Graphic Arts program at the Southern Adirondack Education Center in Hudson Falls were recognized as the winners in the grades 9-12 category. The students will receive a copy of their winning poster, a certificate, and SUNY Adirondack water bottle for submitting the top designs for the contest.
