Trucks & Treats Puts A New Twist on Trick or Treating

Back hoes, excavators, dump trucks, cement trucks, a ladder truck, a tow plow, and tractor trailers, will be some of the many types of trucks on display. WSWHE BOCES alumni and staff will also participate by decorating their vehicles. Early Childhood Education Instructor Shannon Bitzer said, “we are excited to provide this fun, safe environment for children, teens and their families to attend Trucks & Treats at our Saratoga campus. We hope the community will come out to see the trucks, get their favorite candy, and have fun.”

Bitzer has reached out to CTE alumni to bring trucks from the industry they work in to show the community the value of CTE. Some of the businesses and organizations that will be participating are:

Brynea Tree Service, DA Collins, DRH Trucking & Excavating, Eric Dingman Trucking,  F.K.E. Trucking Services, Hays Logging, JH Property Services, National Guard, NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, NY State Police, NYS DOT, Lee Thomas Trucking, Thomas Poultry Farm, Saratoga Springs Fire Department, Saratoga Springs Police Department, Saratoga County Sheriff, WSWHE BOCES

The Trucks & Treats event is free. Local businesses paid a registration fee which will go toward scholarships for graduating seniors. Donation boxes will be available for each site if individuals would like to support the scholarship fund. For more information, email: SBitzer@wswheboces.org
