Exceptional Learners Enjoy an Exceptional Thanksgiving Lunch

Students from Sanford Street TLC, Washington Street Teaching & Learning Center and the F. Donald Myers Education Center BEARS program attended a Thanksgiving luncheon on November 18, 2022 at Saratoga Central Catholic School (SCC).

The annual event picked right up where they left off before Covid. SCC students and the Exceptional Learners Division students were able to enjoy the in-person event once again this year. Lots of smiles were had.

The senior class of SCC hosted the lunch. They dressed professionally with black slacks and white shirts, prepped the plates and served the meals. It was a full Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings. The seniors provided fun activities for the students such as coloring, crafts and face/hand painting. The exceptional learners worked on their social skills at the luncheon such as waiting for everyone at the table to be served before eating, using manners and talking with others. The young students enjoyed the meal with their friends and listened to holiday music from an SCC DJ.
