ETA Celebrates Industrial & Performance Machining Technology Graduates

Dave Sharpe, representing HAAS Automation Inc., was also in attendance to present the students with two HAAS Certifications. Mr. Sharpe and HAAS have been incredibly supportive of the program, along with offering scholarship funds.

The industrial & performance machining technology program, designed for adults interested in entering the machine tool trade, introduces foundational skills and mathematics related to machine shop theory. Students gain hands-on experience through a combination of classroom instruction and practical shop work, preparing them for careers in the industry. Students test and upon successful completion will have HAAS Basic Mill Operator and HAAS Basic Lathe Operator certifications by the end of the program.

Developed through a partnership between local employers, the Saratoga, Warren, Washington Workforce Development Board, and WSWHE BOCES, the program was created to meet the growing demand for machinists in specialty shops and advanced manufacturing companies across the region.

Administrator for Adult Programs, Michelle Stockwell, praised the graduates, saying, “These students have shown incredible perseverance and determination throughout the program. Their hard work reflects a strong foundation for future success. It’s inspiring to see individuals take meaningful steps toward launching a new career or advancing in their field. We’re proud to celebrate their accomplishments.”

ETA and WSWHE BOCES extend their congratulations to all program graduates.
