Outstanding Students Honored with Saratoga-Wilton Kiwanis Scholarships

Each recipient was awarded a $1,000 scholarship during an awards ceremony held Thursday, May 29, 2025 at the F. Donald Myers Education Center.

The scholarships were presented in two categories: the Steven A. Nutting Memorial Scholarship, awarded to students in the Criminal Justice program, and the Culinary Arts Key Club Award, honoring students in the Culinary Arts & Hospitality program.

Recipients of the Steven A. Nutting Memorial Scholarship are:

  • Mattison Denes, Schuylerville High School, Criminal Justice Studies

  • Hannah Fortner, Hadley-Luzerne High School, Criminal Justice Studies

Culinary Arts Key Club Awards were presented to:

  • Brian Kuhl, Saratoga Springs High School, Culinary Arts & Hospitality

  • Diana Miller, Saratoga Springs High School, Culinary Arts & Hospitality

Instructors Dave Foldi (Criminal Justice) and Celeste David (Culinary Arts & Hospitality), along with Key Club advisors, joined members of the Kiwanis Club to present certificates to each recipient. Students were introduced individually by their instructors and invited to the stage for a photo opportunity with presenters.

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a buffet dinner prepared and served by students in the Culinary Arts & Hospitality program. The evening included beverages and an assortment of desserts, showcasing the skills and dedication of the program's students.

Family members, school counselors, instructors and Kiwanis members were in attendance to celebrate the achievements of these outstanding young leaders. The Saratoga-Wilton Kiwanis Club remains committed to supporting youth and fostering a strong sense of community service.
