Thanks to the dedication of Career and Technical Education (CTE) staff, students leave the program with more than just technical know-how. They carry real-world skills, confidence, and a deep sense of purpose. Whether heading to college, apprenticeships, or the workforce, CTE grads are already making their mark—through national competitions, community contributions, and industry connections.
WSWHE BOCES District Superintendent Dr. Turina Parker captured the significance of the day in her address to graduates:
“You’ve grown. You’ve evolved. Life is constantly evolving, and the world you're stepping into in 2025 is no exception. It’s a world that rewards those who are willing to take risks, to try new things, and to welcome change with open arms. Don't be afraid to pivot, to explore different paths, or to pursue opportunities that might seem daunting at first. Always remember, that true growth often happens just beyond the edge of what you know,” said Dr. Parker.
This year’s student speaker, Kaia L. Dake, Small Animal Science spoke about her experience at WSWHE BOCES.
“BOCES has been one of the best decisions of my life,” said Dake. “BOCES is a forward step. It is a vibrant welcoming dynamic environment filled with incredibly talented teachers, dedicated staff, and students with passion and purpose.”
The celebration was livestreamed so friends and families near and far could take part in this special milestone.
