Celebrating the F. Donald Myers Education Center CTE Class of 2026!

Throughout their time at WSWHE BOCES, students gained hands-on experience in their chosen fields while earning credentials that demonstrate their knowledge and technical abilities. From healthcare and manufacturing to construction, automotive technology, culinary arts, and beyond, graduates leave with a competitive advantage as they enter the next phase of their journeys.

The Class of 2026 leaves WSWHE BOCES prepared to pursue a variety of pathways, including employment, apprenticeships, military service, and higher education. Their training reflects the strong partnerships between WSWHE BOCES and regional employers, helping to address workforce needs throughout the region while creating opportunities for students to succeed in high-demand industries.

WSWHE BOCES District Superintendent Dr. Turina Parker said one of the single most important pieces of advice that she has for students is to believe in themselves.

“Believing in yourself is not just about self confidence, it is about recognizing your worth and the unique value you bring to the table,,” said Dr. Parker.

“To believe in yourself means to trust your instincts, to have faith in your skills, and to be willing to take risks, much like the risk that got you to CTE.”

Jacob Otten, in the Graphic and Visual Arts program, gave the student address. He spoke about the theme of a wave length and how in swimming the term ‘riding a wave’ is about catching the forward momentum that someone else is creating.

He said, “BOCES is a place that is full of people who are riding a wave. It is a place that allows you to find your people, to excel at something new in a group that shares your interests.”

“To the graduation class”, he said, whether going to college, to work or tradeschool, “keep riding your wave and moving towards your goals. Continue your strive for greatness and greatness will come.”

The celebration was livestreamed so friends and families could take part in this special milestone.
