Application Information

As stated in the Program Participation Requirements, we ask students to make a two-year commitment to the program. However, should withdrawal from the program become necessary, it is advantageous for the student to do so after the completion of the first year.

At the end of the first year, if a student is considering dropping from the program they will be required to:

  • speak with the BOCES ECCA school counselor.
  • speak with their home district school counselor.
  • potentially have a meeting with additional stakeholders.
  • complete an ECCA drop form.
Transportation Information
We strongly encourage school districts to provide transportation to and from the home school and college campus.

However, transportation availability will vary by district. Students should discuss their transportation needs with their district transportation department and school counselor. Should a district not provide a student transportation to the program, please communicate with the ECCA School Counselor and transportation options will be explored.

WSWHE BOCES requires that any student who wishes to drive from their home school must complete and submit the WSWHE BOCES High School Student Driving Permit Form. This form is available from your BOCES instructor.  If the application for a Student Driving Permit is approved, the student will then need to apply for a SUNY Adirondack parking permit at the college.

Authorization to drive a vehicle to ECCA does not authorize passengers to ride in the vehicle. A violation of this will result in the possible suspension and denial of any future driving privileges. Please contact the ECCA/PTECH Principal for more information regarding the permissions of passengers and special transportation permissions.

After students are approved through WSWHE BOCES to drive to the ECCA program, students will need to go to https://www.sunyacc.edu/campus-life/our-campus/commuting-and-parking to register their vehicle and pay a fee for a parking permit at the college. The parking permit fee is $25 per semester. A parking regulations brochure with the SUNY Adirondack parking policies will be provided at the time the parking permit is obtained.
