Regional Certification Office
The Regional Certification Office at WSWHE BOCES works as a liaison with the NYS Office of Teaching Initiatives (OTI) by providing guidance for applicants and evaluating Classroom Teacher, Pupil Personnel Services, Teaching Assistants, and Coaching applications. OTI utilizes the TEACH system to manage everything pertaining to certification, including applying, recording documents, and correspondence regarding certification status. Districts also access the system to check on certification status for current and prospective employees, and to verify various requirements for certificate applicants. If you are sending any documents to the Regional Certification Office, please ensure the last 4 digits of your social security number are written on them. Documents can be sent to this office via email, fax, or US Mail. For US Mail, please be sure to notate Regional Certification Office on the envelope to ensure receipt by the correct office.
