District Fingerprinting Services
The District Fingerprinting Service is available for our school districts with prospective new staff and certification applicants that need to have fingerprinting completed.
A fingerprint supported criminal history background check is required by law for employment in New York State schools. This requirement is based on Part 87 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education and the Safe Schools Against Violence in Education (SAVE) legislation (Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2001).
Those who do not hold NYS fingerprint clearance must be fingerprinted and cleared prior to employment with BOCES and are responsible for all fees associated with fingerprinting.
