Salary:	$1,694 - Per SABEA Faculty Contract (Any Advisor position can be shared between two staff members. The stipend is then split evenly with both staff.)

Qualifications:

REQUIREMENTS:

As per Faculty Unit Negotiated Agreement; Article 10.8

Organizations must establish an extra-curricular account, elect officers, adopt a constitution or statement of purpose and be authorized by the BOCES. The successful candidate must be actively employed during the period of appointment from September 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026.

Log of student activities must be submitted midyear (January) and end of year(June) and be authorized by building principal for payment of stipend.

Responsibilities:

POSITION FUNCTION:

The SADD Advisor will serve as the primary advisor for SADD at the Southern Adirondack Education Center and the Myers Education Center. SADD meets monthly to help conceptualize and implement activities for each campus.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Facilitate the activity and dynamics of the SADD chapter.
Act as a liaison between the students and the school administration
Promote a SADD chapter culture that is inclusive and collaborative.
Facilitate student planning and coordinating chapter activities are aligned with the SADD mission and adhere to SADD and school policies.
Strong ability to listen to what students have to say and treat their contributions with respectful consideration.
Work in conjunction with school administration and GSA advisor to coordinate and implement No Place for Hate
Collaborate with the Central Treasurer for Youth Activities for maintaining and overseeing the extracurricular accounts associated with SADD
Register the SADD chapter with the state organization and remain updated on regional events and activities.
Invite and coordinate guest speakers for chapter members and student body
Hold regular meetings (at least monthly)
Submit midyear (January) and end of year (June) report on club activity to building principals
