Qualifications:

Graduation from high school or a minimum of 18 college credit hours completed

Experience in Cosmetology is preferred.

Function:

Provide instructional and other support to teacher and students in the Cosmetology Summer Program based on established curriculum.

Responsibilities:

○ Assist the lead teacher in planning and preparing CTE lesson plans, activities, and course materials
○ Help facilitate classroom and lab instruction, working one-on-one or in small groups with students
○ Monitor and support students as they work on projects, labs, and other hands-on learning activities
○ Record and keep records, and help maintain the CTE classroom/lab environment
○ Provide tutoring, mentoring, and other academic support to help students succeed
○ Communicate with students, parents, and other school staff as needed
○ Promote professionalism and customer service skills needed for success in the cosmetology industry;
○ Assist with managing the classroom/salon environment to ensure safety and cleanliness;
○Contribute to a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students

○ Other duties as assigned.
