WSWHE BOCES held the annual graduation ceremony on Thursday, August 8, 2024 to honor High School Equivalency (HSE) Program graduates. The class included adult and youth graduates.

“Mission accomplished,” said WSWHE BOCES District Superintendent Dr. Turina Parker as she spoke to campers, parents and other key partners at the Girls Construction Summer Camp which was aimed at breaking down gender barriers in the construction industry and fostering a new generation of empowered builders.

“Your next job is to dream big and keep trying new things. You can do anything,” said Dr. Parker.

Want to learn some new culinary techniques ? How about learning the latest hair braiding trends, seeing Mig welding, or checking out how to operate a mini-excavator? These are just a few of the demonstrations visitors can attend when WSWHE BOCES highlights its Career and Technical Education (CTE) program at the Washington County Fair August 19-25.

On June 27, 2024, a pinning ceremony recognized 31 students for their hard work, determination and effort that brought them to completion of the Adult Practical Nursing program. These students will now set out to make a difference in health care!

So much attention has been given to the skills gap in the United States. The Washington-Saratoga-Warren-Hamilton-Essex (WSWHE) BOCES Career and Technical Education (CTE) program is pleased to be doing its part in closing that gap by preparing the next generation of skilled workers and industry innovators.

Way to go Isabelle Edmond! Isabelle is the first female WSWHE BOCES CTE student to obtain a Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL). Isabelle is a senior in the Environmental Conservation & Forestry Program from Mechanicville.

Ninety four students from 18 school districts were recognized at the tenth annual Early College Career Academy Completion Ceremony.
